This term we are learning about what insects do?
We started our inquiry unit off by going on an insect hunt at Claremont Bush with Wendy and Keeley from the Museum.
We had a great time learning about insects - check out some of our stories.
This week we also had the thrill of having some very hungry and ready for a sleep caterpillars in our class.
We have watched closely as they have created their cocoon and are now awaiting the big event!
We are enjoying reading poems about insects too. Here is the spider one we had this week.
These spiders were tastier than the usual ones we find around our homes.
We are very keen to make them again at home. Here's how... Find a yummy chocolate mallowpuff, add some lolly eyes (we used strawberries and cream) with icing and some licorice legs. Then devour!!!!
We also made yummy ladybirds with Delcan and Lisa.
Look what Mrs Spittal found in Discovery this week...
